School - Sources of Information

Parents, teachers, and community members can find school information on Palm Beach County's Public Affairs website (www.Palmbeachschools.org), including newsletters, press releases, bulletins, event details, and links to the Florida Department of Education.
The District's television station, The Education Network, 'TEN (channels 19 or 60 on Adelphia cable) airs current information about school district programs and the decision making process, as well as interviews with school officials. The program is broadcast everyday at 4:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

| Dust off old Children's Books

Do you have gently used children's books just sitting collecting dust? Would you love to know they will be read by many school children. Help me reuse these old books by donating them to a school in Palm Beach County servicing many needy students. I live in Lake Charleston and will make arrangements with you to pick them up at your convenience, or you may arrange to drop them off at my home if this is easier. I teach students in grades 3, 4 and 5 who are struggling to read and they are hungry for more reading material. In an effort to support these eager learners I am reaching out to my home community to fill this need. Easy Readers, Step into Reading, chapter books and non fiction books are all welcome. Thank you for you consideration!

| Graffitti on FPL boxes

After several calls to FPL and a call or two to HOA I have taken it upon myself to paint over some of the boxes along Charleston Shores west of the pool. I did the first three and a resident stopped and advised he would take care of the one just outside of Bradham PT. I would like to see if there are any other volunteers who may be able to assist.
So they are all the same, I used Rustoleum Ultra Cover 2X in Satin 'oregano' color. It will take about a can for a large two door box.
We need to keep up with this since FPL is not doing their part. (I called them well over 3 months ago.)
Once you see graffitti please paint over it immediately. Due to the 'broken window theory' it will be covered with graffitti in a short period of time. Please do a search and you will see what I mean.
I hope as a community we can take care of this issue and keep it looking beautiful.
